We are currently working to develop a sustainable tourism framework, with the aim to deliver legacy for the Interreg Experience project and help to embed sustainable practices in the future development of the destination.
Alongside developing a Sustainable Tourism Action Plan, tourism businesses will also be supported to take positive action through a new hub of impact resources, which are currently being developed.
Taking action on sustainability is brave, bold, and urgently necessary and we are looking to celebrate Impact Heroes by amplifying creative and innovative sustainability initiatives happening in the county, to inspire businesses and visitors alike. We are looking to launch this activity and the action plan in May 2023, and our Impact Heroes will be key to this and showcased as trailblazers.
