Your organisation's purpose:
Our aim is to help purpose-led leaders to improve their social and environmental impact, through services that; improve health and wellbeing, support the development of personal and professional skills, and foster partnerships and collaborations that lead to better outcomes for people and the planet.
We are striving for gender equality, sustainable communities, the preservation of biodiversity, and action that combats climate change.
We achieve our aims through professional coaching & mentoring, NLP (neuro-linguistic programming), and outdoor experiences.
What is your impact initiative?
NetZero Networking" connects leaders from the socially and environmentally minded leaders from the public, private and not-for-profit sectors through sustainable, outdoor networking events in Kent. The events are free and give people the opportunity to disconnect from technology and spend time being active in nature, whilst encouraging the development of partnerships, collaboration, support and the exchange of information on sustainability and other business matters. Participants are encouraged to travel sustainably, with most events starting from locations with good public transport links. We measure and report the carbon footprint of participant travel to events and offset this through carbon offsetting initiatives. Events usually finish at independently-owned, cafes for refreshments and informal networking.
The "Fit for Purpose Business Challenge" is a six month coaching programme that helps business owners to improve their health and wellbeing through an outdoor challenge, personal performance, and the social and environmental impact of their business. The programme concludes with a retreat including active, outdoor activities.
"Bespoke sustainability coaching and mentoring" for purpose-led leaders, entrepreneurs and teams. Coaching and coaching/outdoor packages that help people to develop the skills and strategies they need to reach their sustainability goals - whether that be B Corp certification, individual or organisation behaviour change, or adopting new ways of doing business that will have a greater impact for people and planet.
"Treeserve 365" is a one-year, tree planting challenge launched on Earth Hour (25th March 2023). It aims to empower people to plant trees in their local communities whilst mirroring their efforts in developing countries in the global south. We'll be gathering resources and connecting people around the globe as we embark on an educational journey about culture, conservation and the environment, whilst planting many trees as we can over the next 12 months. We aim to work with local and overseas partners to deliver this project and will be offering "from conversation to conservation" workshops to businesses and corporate clients in Kent this year.
"Bici" - We're working in partnership with Macknade CEO, Stefano Cuomo, to help more people in the Faversham area to discover and access the benefits of cycling. We've delivered community cycle events and initiatives by working in partnership with existing businesses, councils and other stakeholders to improve the health, local economy and environment through a modal shift to active travel.
The impact your initiative has had:
We have fully embraced the B Corp model and have B Corp pending status. We have measured our our own social and environmental impact and our annual report for last year will be available early in April 2023. In summary, we are focused on having a positive impact for all our stakeholders - such as supporting independent, local suppliers, and businesses that are owned and led by women and people from underrepresented groups. We have delivered a significant percentage of our services to charity, pro-bono, or at a low cost. We have worked with leaders representing 33 organisations, delivered services for 3 communities and a further 51 individuals. We're also inspired by the impact that our coaching clients have had - whether that be reducing the use of plastics, reaching new audiences for their social impact initiatives, reducing energy use, starting overseas social projects, raising thousands of pounds for charity and humanitarian aim, or, positively impacting the lives of thousands of people.
