Our annual review showcases our activity and provides an overview of how we've supported the visitor economy and promoted the destination over the last 12 months.
2022 was another turbulent year for the industry amidst challenging economic conditions. However, we’re encouraged by the strong return of domestic visitors and the performance of the staycation market in Kent, alongside forecasts that international spend and visitation will almost be back to pre-pandemic levels by the end of this year. Over the last 12 months, we’ve focused on supporting and assisting the rebooting and rebuilding of Kent's visitor economy through the delivery of a wide range of projects, marketing and industry activity. We are now working to ensure that our destinations are as welcoming and inclusive as possible, restoring and boosting visitor numbers and supporting our businesses to meet the needs of changing travel behaviours whilst working strategically to ensure the long-term sustainability of the sector.
