Visit Kent Business
Kent and Medway welcomes over 66 million visitors to the county each year. The visitor economy contributes £4.1 billion to the local economy annually and supports almost 77,854 jobs which is 11% of all employment in the county.
These figures underscore the industry's importance not just as a driver of economic recovery but also as a cornerstone of Kent employment.
Part of Kent County Council and Medway Council, we are responsible for supporting and growing the tourism industry in our county, building a resilient and sustainable visitor economy.

We are busy working behind-the-scenes on a brand new Visit Kent service. We are in the process of finalising what the new service will deliver, taking into account input from local businesses. Delivery will be split into two key areas – a free-to-access primary service delivered from early 2026, and a partnerships service to be ready for spring.
We’ll be releasing more detail over the coming weeks, so be sure to check back for the latest updates.
